St Barnabas Girls was started in 1984 as Sabwani mixed secondary school by the ADC to serve children of the community. The school was later changed to st. Barnabas girls Sabwani in 2015.
Sponsored by the Catholic diocese of Kitale under the able stewardship of His Lordship Bishop Maurice Anthony Crowley. We have a chaplain who takes care of spiritual guidance of the students.
It is a low cost girls only boarding/ day school. The day section caters for girls from the ADC farms. We are located along Kitale - Suam road 200 metres from the tarmac road. It sits on 17 acres of land where part of this land is used for seed maize and dairy farming.
The school is in a serene environment and very conducive for learning with a population of 300 students, 12 TSC teachers, 4 BOM teachers and 10 support staff.
We are dedicated to co curriculum activities where we have participated in Music festivals upto regional level and our basketball team upto County level, among other sports like voleyball and football.
St.Barnabas Girls is ALWAYS advancing and a school of choice for our girls.
